Summer Exhibition 2016 at the Royal Academy
19.07.2016
This year’s Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy in London was an explosion of colour. The Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest open-submission exhibition, showcasing a fantastic mix of emerging and established artists. I find it absolutely amazing that this show has been held every year since 1768. It is always inspiring, surprising and an absolute wonder to look at, and also every piece is on sale! Here some of my favourite pieces from this year.
- General view of the main Gallery III
- Avocado Coconut Egg (ACE) by El Anatsui
- Apartment by Seung Yeon Choi
- Colour Painting 1 by Nigel O’Neill
- Dubarry by Jane Bustin
- Source Seed IV by Peter Randall-Page
- Sap River by Peter Randall-Page
- Dancer on Ball I, II and III by Tim Shaw
- Balloon Man by Yinka Shonibare
